Spring – Summer 2011 is going to be a little depressing according to yesterday’s first day of Cibeles Madrid Fashion Week. The days are organized with emerging talents and new designers first and then progresses to the old, established glories. The usually scenario is much expectation concerning the first few days and then tapers to the more classical proposals by the established names. It seems that this time around, it will be necessary to see if the “tried and true” will offer up a little more oomph to the S/S 2011 situation. Let’s take a moment to wade through the different catwalk shows of yesterday.

Last Day of Cibeles Madrid Fashion Week
Yesterday was the final day of Cibeles Madrid Fashion Week. It seemed like time was running out as ten designers were programmed throughout the day and were also doubled up. That meant two shows going on at the same time. This is nothing out of the ordinary in other cities, but considering that Cibeles is on the small side, it didn’t seem all that necessary. Unfortunately, the week didn’t end with a bang, although there were a few interesting and creative proposals.
