It’s that time of year when the student shows roll around, you can smell the exhaustion and stress in the air. A huge, gigantic, enormous world away from the talents rolled out each year at prestigious fashion colleges such as Central Saint Martins in London, Barcelona does manage to churn out a few interesting students.

Alice in Wonderland by Tim Burton
Alice in Wonderland mania has officially taken over the world! London was awash with numerous Alice offerings, sub, erged in a veritable wonderland. From food to clothing, books to window displays, the British capital was more than prepared for the premiere of Tim Burton’s long-awaited movie.
Funky Wallpaper
What could possibly be better than a stack of pancakes with bacon and maple syrup for breakfast? The Breakfast Club in London has been nominated as runner-up to the best breakfast in town. The place is lovely, a crazy mix of long tables, armchairs, lamps and even a beach parasol. There were so many options to start the day! Eggs benedict was another choice, especially since it’s practically impossible to find this dish in Barcelona.
Sunny Weather in London!
While the rain in Spain has decided to stay for good it seems, London was absolutely bright and beautiful while I was there last week. I love going to the British capital as there is always so much to see and do. I suppose people that live there must take it all for granted. I also suppose that they possibly would argue that here in Barcelona we have sunny weather and the beach. This is a warning! We have barely seen the sun in three months and today it is actually snowing. Snow in March! Unbelievable.
Visiting London
I’m jetting off to London this afternoon, so I’m afraid there’s going to no new posts until Monday. I’m going to basically relax a bit, do research, visit some great exhibitions and check out some stores. The V&A is one of the museums I’ll be checking out, specifically to see their new Decode exhibit, about digital design sensations. The National Portrait Gallery has two shows on: Irving Penn Portraits and Twiggy: A Life in Photographs, which I’m really looking forward to.
