People rushing. The ground trembles. The air is slightly stale. The marble gleams dully. This is an “in-between” place, not usually graced with glamour and dreams. The Diagonal subway station’s transit tunnel was the venue for a new edition of SUBmodafad, included in the TMB programme of spring activities.

First Day – 080 Barcelona Fashion
The seventh edition of 080 Barcelona Fashion kicked off to rainy weather and a new venue in Barceloneta. With a tighter schedule and smaller space, the future is unclear for the fashion event. Aside from the current edition, there will be one more 080 Barcelona Fashion this fall. After that… who knows.

Once again, it is fashion week here in Barcelona and at a strange time of the year. During a period that is usually reserved for pre-collection and cruise collection shows internationally, the city has decided to stage the spring – summer 2011 edition of 080 Barcelona Fashion.

Yesterday saw the beginning of 080 Barcelona Fashion Week. I’ll be viewing the various catwalks throughout the three days and I’ll be posting photos and comments on a variety of the shows.
