Yesterday was the last day of the main Cibeles Madrid Fashion Week event. Only the emerging designers collections of El Ego are left. The last day always seems to be rushed, with shows doubling up in the afternoon. Slightly confusing to say the least. Sunglasses seemed to be the preferred item, making an appearance in several of the shows. Protesters stormed the Ion Fiz show, angry about the use of fur. Can’t understand why they’d target that particular designer, as fur has appeared all too often during this 53rd edition. The other stand-out moment of the afternoon was the L’Oreal prize going to Angel Schlesser for best collection. Up seems to be down, left seems to be right, white pretending to be the new black, black reigning supreme…

Last Day of Cibeles Madrid Fashion Week
Yesterday was the final day of Cibeles Madrid Fashion Week. It seemed like time was running out as ten designers were programmed throughout the day and were also doubled up. That meant two shows going on at the same time. This is nothing out of the ordinary in other cities, but considering that Cibeles is on the small side, it didn’t seem all that necessary. Unfortunately, the week didn’t end with a bang, although there were a few interesting and creative proposals.
