I’ve decided to include a section of Fridays about what to do on the weekends since so many people ask me what is going on in Barcelona. This section will broken down into Free activities, Cheap activities, Midway activities and Dig Deep in Your Pocket. I’m eager to know your suggestions to include each week, so don’t hesitate to send me ideas.

The City “I love it when artists rule the street”

To round off The Brandery and 080 Fashion Barcelona this past week in Barcelona, Convent Sant Agustí, (what a surprise), played host to the first edition of The City. Organized by Park Division and Chicks on Speed, this was an odd mix of music, art by Anton Unai, bales of straw and fashion in the making.

Zapato Rojo

Lovely Convent Sant Agustí, once again it was necessary to make our way down to Borne to see yet another fashion market held there. Zapato Rojo was on this past weekend, the 19th and 20th of December 2009. The difference this time around was the load of really interesting proposals.

Pulgas Mix

This past weekend, (24th and 25th of October), was the 15th edition of Pulgas Mix. Evoking the sensations of flea markets around the world, the event is a platform for young designers to show off their goods in a relaxed atmosphere. This time around, the market was held at the Sant Agusti Convent in Borne. All types of activities were planned during the two days such as different DJs, workshops and cinema projections, to name just a few. The atmosphere is festive and there are usually a good amount of visitors during the two days.
