Cibeles Madrid Fashion Week kicked off yesterday morning with El Ego, the alternative runway for emerging designers. Ten different creators showcasing their innovative views, leaning towards a more vanguard notion of fashion. Sara Coleman and Beba’s Closet were the two designers first in line to start off this fashion-filled week.

Goodbye to Alexander McQueen
Woe and woe again. I tear my clothes in anger and sadness, (well maybe not any real tearing, but I did tug at my clothes and hair). How is this possible? Alexander McQueen was one of the greatest, recent generation designers and now… No longer.
What Remains is Future – Pasafad
The 29th edition of Modafad was held this past weekend. This twice yearly event consists of Pasafad, a catwalk show of emerging designers and Merkafad, a one-day showroom offering the possibility to meet the designers participating in Modafad and buy their creations. This time around, the venue was the DHUB, which on the one hand was very beautiful, but on the other hand was cramped and its’ cobbled terrace made more than one model stumble.
