Four conferences, a new section, one packed auditorium and a killer post-party made for the best edition of Broad.cat to date. Entertaining, funny, insightful and professional, the afternoon was great and upheld the “Think Big” theme of this year’s edition.

Mariscal a la Pedrera
The Mariscal exhibition at La Pedrera is, quite simply, brilliant. From the past 29th of September until the 30th of January, this quirky show structured in 6 different parts covers the artist’s early sketches, letters and typographies, graphic art, textiles, furniture and other paraphernalia, visual poems, film and a final installation surprise. This is a complete experience of Mariscal’s work.
Bon Restaurant
Great expectations sometimes lead to great disappointments… In January of this year, the Vietnamese restaurant Bon opened on Enrique Granados. After repeatedly walking by and seeing great photos online, I decided it was high-time to try it out. Termed the first Vietnamese bistro in Barcelona, expectations were elevated.
Mercat de Mercats
This past weekend saw the first edition of Mercat de Mercats. The weather was perfect, the market was crowded, which for some, may have presented a problem. This is when Barcelona really comes into its’ own, almost magically pulling together a great food event that revelled in culinary celebration.
A-Ha Once Again
Maybe some things are better left in the past… As nostalgia seems to be kicking in more and more as the months and years go by, we continue to grope into the past, searching and grasping onto those golden, liquid memories from our adolescence. Memories that seem to almost be preserved intact in some sort of formaldehyde, withstanding time without barely a wrinkle. So with much trepidation laying heavily upon my being, I ran back in time and went to this past Friday’s A-ha concert.
