I can barely believe it! The news has been confirmed! In 2012 (yes, it’s still a long way to go) the Jean Paul Gaultier exhibition – From the Sidewalk to the Catwalk, currently in Montreal’s Museum of Fine Arts, will be in Madrid’s Fundación Mapfre. I double-checked with MMFA’s press office and they very kindly reconfirmed the news. Upon talking with Fundación Mapfre, they were quite tight-lipped, but they did say there will be a Yves Saint Laurent exhibition opening soon. I wonder which exhibition it will be, as there have been several different ones over the years.
How is this possible? Two really great shows in Spain?! Now we only need to get Alexander McQueen’s exposition to make the triumvirate complete. I’m positively giddy with excitement.
