Searching for the hugest burgers in Barcelona? Well, El Kiosko Hamburguesería is your place. Located near Plaza Palau, right on the border between Barceloneta and Borne, this small restaurant has been packing quite a punch since the beginning of 2011.
After the success of the Bacao Hamburguesería near the Santa Caterina market, Australian Brad Ainsworth opened his second proposal Kiosko, offering up all manner of gourmet burgers. The red walls, cactus plants, blackboards and exposed metal pipes heighten the laid-back atmosphere. I did find the seating arrangements slightly uncomfortable; either high stools or very low chairs grouped along the walls, with a central table gracing the middle of the space.
Kiosko Burger manages to add some charm to the sparse furnishing with little details such as the flowerpots, comic-strip wallpaper, Chinese cat and rigorous recycling. The customer is made to feel good as each person is actively involved in cleaning up and depositing each item in the corresponding bins.
The list of hamburgers seems endless, the variety is mouth-watering and generous. I would say that the only problem I can find with the burgers is the out-of-proportion sizes. These are American-style rations. It would be nice if there was a “kiddie-size” burger on the menu. The fries and selection of sauces are delicious. Each hamburger is delivered to the table nestled in cute Kiosko newspaper. Be prepared to arrive with a ravenous, growling stomach and don’t plan on anything energetic after. Possibly a stroll in the nearby Cuidadella Park.

si no has estado nunca debes provarla!!!

Sounds really good. I love a good burger. I am happy to see more places like this opening. Sometimes a plain jamon bocadillo just won’t cut it!
