This past Monday, IED was the place to be. Four voices of experience were gathered together to share their vision concerning the present state of event organization. With only about 10 minutes each, they had little time to fully explain their extensive work. What with all the new technology, especially since the 21st century, the traditional style of event organization is quickly becoming obsolete.

La Virgen de los Broches in BCN Week
This past week, the new edition of BCN Week hit the streets and that means a new Made in Barna column of mine. This month’s spotlight is on the lovely Nuria of La Virgen de los Broches. Together with the equally lovely Inés of Happinés, we carefully shot a photo session worthy of Nuria’s designs.
Mariano Fortuny Retrospective at La Pedrera
Dubbed the Alchemist of Venice, Mariano Fortuny Madrazo is the perfect example of a genius that excels in different disciplines. a new retrospective about this multi-talented artist has just opened this past week at La Pedrera. The exhibit will be on up until the 27th of June, so there is no excuse for missing out on this intimate journey into Fortuny’s creative world.

This weekend sees a plethora of fashion-related events here in Barcelona. After struggling through the January and February, (with only Fashion Week, Pasafad and The City to give a bit of colour), the city becomes a veritable winter desert, finally, although spring has not reared it’s head yet, activities have started to pick up.
Saako Event at Duro de Roer
Write down the date! This Friday 12th of March, from 18:00 to 22:00, Duro de Roer, Barcelona’s t-shirt shop par excellence will be hosting a fun-filled presentation evening for Saako Design and La Virgen de los Broches. There will time to peruse their extensive t-shirt collection, view Saako’s gorgeous, cloth necklaces, get a sneak peak at Nuria’s new offering and drink a sip of champagne. What a great way to start off the weekend!
