Yesterday was the last day of 080 Fashion Barcelona. It has been a great three days, although the organization was ever more frazzled as the days went by. It was quite a monumental task to take photos due to the lovely Elizabeth Jagger strutting down the catwalk for Krizia Robustella and Tramando.
Krizia’s creations are defined as “sport deluxe” combining references from sports clothing to vintage looks. Aptly named: “It’s a pleasure to meet someone who understands that, to the true gambler, money is never an end in itself, it’s simply a tool, as language is to thought.” Straight out of the movie Cincinnati Kid, the entire collection reverberated with decadence. Cigars, fake guns and waiters’ trays were used as props to further underline Robustella’s quirky and fun attitude. Elizabeth Jagger was a sight to behold, welding a plastic gun, with her trademark red lips.
The other great show of the day was by Tramando. Martin Churba is the designer behind this great effort and his passion is to add innovative textile ideas to his designs. Interwoven fabrics make for pieces that look like armour and has an ancient and austere appeal. His models looked like warrior princesses, storming down the catwalk. Once again, Lizzy Jagger stole the show, with her luscious charm.
After these hectic three days, all that remained was to find out who had taken the judges’ fancy. Miriam Ponsa garnered the prize for women’s fashion. Karlotalaspalas and Jan Iú Més grabbed the prize for menswear. Today Friday, sees Modafad in action at 21:00 in Calle Montcada. There are still events to look forward to!
