Sticky Fingers BCN

Wednesday 27th was not as nearly well organized as the first day. Shows were running late, people were stressed, queues were chaotic and the press were extremely nervous. I overheard several  girls wishing it was all over so as to be able to get down off their very high-heels.

The highlight of the day was Manuel Bolaño, without a doubt. I didn’t manage to get a good seat, so my photos are a bit on the dodgy side. I also had a “prensa rosa” character sat right in front of me, so I kept getting blinded by camera flashes.

Se notaba una clara falta de organización, ayer miércoles 27, comparado con el primer día. Desfiles que comenzaron tarde, gente estresada, colas caóticas y la prensa muy nerviosos. Escuche a varias chicas deseando que acabara todo de una vez para poder quitarse sus tacones imposiblemente altos.

Lo más destacable del día fue el desfile de Manuel Bolaño, sin ninguna duda. No conseguí un asiento muy bueno, dando resultado a unas fotos de menos calidad. Tuve la gran suerte de tener un personaje de la prensa rosa sentada delante de mi; casi me dejan ciega con los flashes de las cámaras.

Bolaño presented his collection named “Why Does Everything Have to be Pink?” which was obviously ironic, as pink predominated throughout his different pieces. This was a sumptuous, dreamy collection. Luscious bubblegum pinks, muted old golds, dirty blue greys and a whole range of mouth watering caramels. Tucks and folds, layers and a proliferation of bear heads on shoulders and back accompanied to tunes from Amelie.

Bolaño presentó su colección ¿Por qué todo ha de ser de color de rosa?, obviamente irónico, ya que el color rosa predominaba en varias de sus prendas. Es una colección suntuosa, de ensueño. Una delicada mezcla de colores: rosa chicle, oro viejo, grises azulados y toda una gama de marrón caramelo para hacer la boca agua. Jaretas y pliegues, sobre posiciones y volantes, y una proliferación de cabezas de oso en hombros y espaldas, acompañado por melodías de Amelie.

I still have heart palpitations just thinking about the show. The girls looked beautiful with their huge glasses, rolled hair styles and painted, pink cheeks.

Aun tengo palpitaciones sólo de pensar en el desfile. Las modelos estaban radiantes con sus gafas enormes, peinados enrollados y mejillas rosas.

I took my tired self home late in the evening. There is only one day left! Time flies by so fast when one is having a good time.

Llegue a casa por la tarde-noche, cansada y contenta. Sólo queda un día! El tiempo vuela tan rápido cuando una se lo pasa tan bien.
