Fashion and Events in Barcelona during the 18th – 20th of December

This coming weekend ushers in another slew of events, fashion and otherwise. Just to give a quick review, here are three interesting places to visit during Friday 18th, Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th.

Drapart_mercadillo, vera ciria

Drapart starts this Friday with its traditional recycled goods market. Held at the CCCB, it will be possible to browse the different offers available during the entire weekend. Everything from jewellery to furniture, bags to lamps are all created from recycled material. Very artistic, Drapart is a great place to pick up new/recycled things, absorb inspiration and become more aware of the different ways in which to lessen our ecological impact on our planet.

El_Zapato_Rojo, vera ciria, borne, convent de sant agusti, la virgen de los broches

Zapato Rojo starts on Saturday in the Convent Sant Agustí in Borne. A line-up of different designers to browse through, as well as hand massages and music to enjoy the general atmosphere. It continues on Sunday.

Si_Quiero_novias, sabadell, vera ciria

Si Quiero is an interesting event that will be held Saturday and Sunday in Sabadell. Although it may seem like a pain in the neck to go all the way there, it is just a 40 minute ride from Barcelona with the FGC. The stop is Sabadell Ramblas and the store is a short 5 minute walk away. The shop is closing and needs to dispose of its stock. It will be possible to buy wedding dresses from the 40s up to the present day and will be available at very reduced prices. The day will be organized around a whole series of events such as the possibility to dress up in a wedding dress and have your photo taken. Throwing of bouquets, cake, prize draws and live “weddings”. If you’ve never considered getting married or are thinking about it, this is a great opportunity to dress in white for a day. Sunday will be dedicated to selling off all the stock, so it’s a great way to get really unique, vintage items.
