This coming Friday 27th is the annual Broad.cat conferences. Broad.cat is the audiovisual and design platform propelled by ADG-FAD. Around five hours during the afternoon will be dedicated to television identity, concert visuals, audiovisual design, motion graphics and movie interfaces. Held in the CaixaForum’s auditorium, it is a great way to view what different professionals are creating in these areas, as well as meeting new and interesting people.

Terry Gilliam’s The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus makes you a better person when you leave the cinema. The beauty of the filming is magnificent, the story is enchanting, making you wish that the world were a better, more understanding place.
Bar Seco, Poble Sec
This week’s Timeout focuses on the Poble Sec neighbourhood, its’ various restaurants, bars, shops and secret places. Unfortunately, they didn’t include one of the best places, Bar Seco. Located at Passeig Montjuic 74, this is an oasis of calm, on the slopes leading up to Montjuic. Do not be put off by its’ “bar de barrio” outside appearance. It has a small terrace of 4 tables which are almost always full and a lovely space inside.
PonetelaRemera!
Ponete la Remera is a Barcelona-based t-shirt company which has seen the niche to create cutely rude sayings from across the Atlantic. An impressive visual impact, simple but effective: black t-shirt with white lettering. The slogan is composed of a dictionary-style entrance. First, the word in big, block lettering, then below, the meaning and a sample of how the word itself is to be used.
Dress Up!
This past Saturday 7th was the first edition of Dress Up. A showroom style event to showcase new designers. Six new creators gathered together in a great location in Borne. Composed of Amimanera, Elena Gallego, Georgina Vendrell, My Grandmother’s Sofa, Nerea Lurgain and Sugar Rush.
